Goals with this course

The coals of this course is to:

• Give students an introduction to Scientific Visualization and a working knowledge of the more common techniques and algorithms.
• Give students experience of developing visualizationapplications.
• Give students an overview of application areas where Scientific Visualization is of importance.

The main textbook is: William Schroeder, Ken Martin and Bill Lorensen  (1998) The Visualization Toolkit, 2nd ed. Prentice Hall, ISBN 0-13-954694-4.

Additionally some material will be distributed during the course.

Examination

The examination on this course is thorugh a written exam, in addition there are compulsory computer assignemnets.

If the assignments are turned in before the deadlines specified on the schedule students get a bonus towards the written exam.
