Welcome to Christer's old home page!

Hi, I see that you have found your way to this old home page of mine. I just thought I'd point out that as of January 1996, I am no longer working at the Department of Computing Science. In fact, I've even left Sweden behind. Me and the dog have moved to the terrible mess they call Los Angeles to program computer games for a living (well, I do the programming, not the dog).

For all of you interested in games and games programming, my Games Resource Page is still here.

Short History

I started working at the Department of Computing Science in 1988. During the years I was lecturing on these courses:

o Maskinnära programmering (Low-Level Programming) - C, 68000, some Unix
o Systemprogrammering (Systems Programming) - C, some more Unix
o Programspråksteori (Programming Language Theory) - Fundamental programming language constructs, history of programming languages
o Artificiell intelligens 2 (Artificial Intelligence 2) - In-depth on genetic algorithms
However, the last few years I was primarily responsible for lecturing on these two courses:
o Artificiell intelligens (Artificial Intelligence) - Basic AI, LISP programming
o Logik med tillämpningar (Logic with Applications) - Formal logic systems, logic programming (Prolog), theorem proving (Otter)

When leaving for the US, I was working on my PhD, which I plan to return to finish at some unforseen time in the future.

If you want to know more about the department, take a look at the department home page.

I still have access to my old university account so I can still be reached by sending email to this address christer@cs.umu.se.
