I love to travel, don't you?

Travelling is my favourite activity, so I thought I better create a page dedicated to travelling. Here you'll get to know the places I have been to and also some of the places I _want_ to go to in the future. To make this as enjoyable as possible, I have included the Best Links (tm) I have found...

Link summary.

My Real Home is not where I currently live, but rather in Bordeaux, the beautiful Capital of the Aquitaine, in southwestern France. It was a long time dream for me to visit the city and see My Favourite team play at home at Parc Lescure (GIF picture), their home stadium. This dream came true in August 1996, almost fifteen years after I started to dream about it. Already when I and my friends landed at Merignac, the airport southwest of the city, my Heart told me that I had come home, it was a marvellous feeling. Nowadays, I am just dreaming about the day that I can go back home again and I wish I could stay there. Therefore, I truly recommend you to visit Aquitaine and the city of Bordeaux or at least read more about it!

France is the country I like the most of the ones I have been to. The first time was already in 1981 when I spent a week with my family in Paris and therearound. Although, it was great, it can never be compared to Bordeaux. My second visit to France was in 1994 when I went to Provence and Bourgogne. Provence is also a wonderful region appealing to my "sudiste" soul. The fourth visit was my second visit to Bordeaux, in connection with the 1998 football World Cup and I meet some of my Net friends.

Another memorable trip was when I went to Munich in 1996, to attend the First Leg of the UEFA Cup Final between my team FC Girondins de Bordeaux and the hosts FC Bayern München. This was also a long term dream, to see my favourite team in a European Cup Final.

I have also attended the European football Championships in Sweden in 1992 and Portugal in 2004.

Another sport related trip was to Sevilla in 1999, for the IAAF World Championship in athletics. Apart from a great sports experience, the Andalucian capital is a fascinating city.

Apart from Bordeaux, my two favourite cities are Florence in Toscana and Prague in the Czech Republic. For other cities I have visited and some of the places I want to visit in the future, check the link page. If you know of better links to the places mentioned above, please send me a note or if you have suggestions for nice places to visit!
